Leading manufacturer uses mobile app to turn employees into brand advocates
Southwire® is the third largest wire and cable company in the World. Being this big, it was challenging to keep their employees engaged and aware of product updates and other news.
The largest obstacle that has prevented Southwire® from getting more engagement from its content has been in the way employees can access content and share it with their peers.
Using DoubleDutch framework, I have been able to create a user-friendly app that integrates their different social media channels. The app also promotes collaboration between their different departments by allowing employees to message each other within the app.
By utilizing their large workforce as brand advocates, Southwire® is increasing their reach and number of followers. They are now able to compete with the industry leaders on social media.
The secondary objective of the app was to make it easy for sales representatives to register Southwire’s annual sales meeting.
Attendees had access the map of the location, but also to tailored schedule using filters based on their title and/or region.
Based on positive feedback during the sales meeting, Southwire® has been able to utilize push notifications to keep their employees engaged throughout the year.
